Laclede is a Linn County community along the U.S. 36 corridor, with Brookfield to the east and Meadville to the west. It is closely associated with General John J. Pershing, and nearby Pershing State Park adds trails, wetlands, and outdoor space to a visit. A home search here can include time in the small town itself and the rural roads around it.
Laclede was platted in 1853 and named for Pierre Laclède, a founder of St. Louis. The General John J. Pershing Boyhood Home and the nearby Plum Grove School preserve an important part of the community’s story. The historic site and state park make useful starting points for getting to know the area before or after property showings.

That is totally normal, we have been in THOUSANDS of homes, and almost none of them were perfectly clean when we met. At the initial meeting, all we’re doing is looking with you — a second follow-up will be set for any listing photos to give plenty of time to tidy up.
No repairs are required to list your home, you can sell in its current condition. We can add a note to the listing saying seller not interested in making repairs.
We agree, there’s nothing worse than a pushy salesman who’s just out for a commission. Thankfully, our agency is doing well, and we have no need for desperate sales tactics. We are here if you would like our assistance, and if not, that’s okay. We operate on a no-pressure philosophy.
