Spickard is in northern Grundy County near the Weldon River, just west of U.S. 65. Its estimated population is 220. The river valley and surrounding farmland are important parts of the setting. Trenton lies to the south and Princeton to the north, offering nearby dining, museums, and outdoor destinations. Exploring the town alongside those neighboring communities gives a useful view of the northern Grundy County landscape. The annual Spickard Fall Festival brings parades, games, and music to the town and City Park in September, creating a seasonal gathering for the surrounding community.
The town was laid out as Spickardsville in 1871 and named for G. A. Spickard. Its post office adopted the shorter name Spickard in 1892. The two versions of the name are useful to recognize when reading older accounts of the community.

That is totally normal, we have been in THOUSANDS of homes, and almost none of them were perfectly clean when we met. At the initial meeting, all we’re doing is looking with you — a second follow-up will be set for any listing photos to give plenty of time to tidy up.
No repairs are required to list your home, you can sell in its current condition. We can add a note to the listing saying seller not interested in making repairs.
